Welcome back to Compass for Care. This week we suggest you work on this self-care strategy: Become educated about your loved one's stage of illness and needs. But if you prefer, you can choose to work on another strategy.
Making sure you have the information you need to reach your caregiving goals is a basic self-care strategy. Let's get started by checking in on your readiness to educate yourself and accept your loved one's dementia.
Practice calm breathing by selecting a time or number of cycles you want to go through. Follow the circle. Inhale as it expands. Exhale as it shrinks.
